We are super excited to be suppliers of the new BOM from Anni Downs, A Day in Happyland.
This whimsical quilt uses linen and hand-dyed woven wools, and has a finished size of 55″x56″.
This product is a one off payment for the pattern only to be sent as a whole.
This is a designed as a 12-part quilt which comes as a stand alone pattern (with all 12 parts together), or we can break the pattern apart and run it as a BOM. Each of the 12 parts of the pattern has a colour photo showcasing that part along with all instructions to complete that part. If you would prefer to receive this as a monthly Block then please contact us to set this up. Each block will be £3 plus £2.50 p & p.
This is one of the most relaxing quilts to make, consisting mainly of wool applique and stitchery. Each month there are at least 6 applique images to create, each being stitched on a natural linen background. These are then stitched down onto a background fabric, giving the illusion of the blocks floating around together.
The techniques are very simple, using fusible web applique and a whip-stitch for the woven wool applique, and mainly backstitch for the stitchery component. We have had beginners create Anni’s other wool BOM quilts (Dancing Chickens & Flying Pigs, and The Santa, The Tree, The Turkey & Me), and have had great feedback from them. They are not hard quilts to create, just hand-sewing at its best!

We also have the linens and woven cotton for the quilt. You will need
1.8m of fine natural linen or natural linen
3m of check linen or woven cotton, light blue check, grey check or grey plaid woven cottons are available and either would look fabulous for the BOM background for the applique pieces to ‘float’ on. The blue check is currently out of stock but due to arrive any day.
