Snow Days Means Sew Days
As I type, the snow is falling heavily outside, unusual for Cornwall, so I feel inspired to write about all things snow related today. Look below for snow and snowmen fabrics, buttons and patterns to keep you busy. Of course by the time you read this newsletter, the snow will have become muddy slush and ice, making moving around in it a chore, but we can dream of glistening snowflakes and cute snowmen as we sit snuggled by the fire under our beautiful hand made quilts, drinking hot chocolate whilst sewing our little hearts out!

Our big news this week is that finally we have received all the patterns and the first two wool packs of A Day in Happyland. We have been very busy this week with the mammoth job of collating and shipping all 100 pre-orders of both these and accompanying fabrics and threads, so it won't be too much longer until those who pre-ordered will receive everything. Thank you to everyone for all their patience with the lengthy delays. Luckily we received some spare patterns and wool packs, so if you haven't already ordered a copy, now is your chance! In with the patterns were other Hatched & Patched patterns, some of which are shown below.

Also back in stock are more of the beautiful hand painted wooden buttons from The Bee Company in France. We have received box one of our order and the other is on its way, so if you see something out of stock then add your name to the waitlist and you will be notified just as soon as they arrive. This includes the gorgeous festive buttons that Sally used to make her Christmas button bunting.

Not only is this weekend "Small Business Saturday", it's also our birthday weekend!
We celebrate our 15th year as the Coast and Country shop. Sally started the business with a few boxes and bolts in the boot of her car, visiting local sewing groups and fairs, and now we send parcels all over the world and have expanded the shop several times to accommodate the growing business. To celebrate our birthday weekend, Mary has created a birthday project, her gorgeous cheeky gnome. See below for details.

We adore this new BOM from Anni Downs and are so relieved to finally have it in the shop. It has been a busy week sorting everyone's orders but all who have ordered have had their parcels dispatched. We knew this would be popular but never expected to sign up over 100 customers to take part. Plus we have others on a waitlist, so the organisation has been a military operation to ensure we have enough of everything. We have more background fabrics arriving for anyone new signing up and are happy to answer any queries regarding this stunning project that uses wool applique on linen. Of course it can be made in fabric too, and is a perfect quilt to use up scraps. We can't wait to see the works in progress for this one.
