A 'Sail' in November!?
Hello, and before you ask, my spelling isn't bad. The cheesy title and email subject heading are to try and beat those pesky algorithms that make it impossible to mention certain words in emails to let you know we have something going on! If we use the right word then the emails are labeled as Spam or Junk and would never get to you.
Lots of customers who have visited or called the shop are thinking of things to make for the men in their lives or those who love the great outdoors, sailing or travelling, so we are taking a look this week at ranges and patterns that may be suitable. This ties in perfectly with the reductions in the Janet Clare ranges as they offer a more neutral palette and the Nautical and Lakeside Story fabrics are great for nautical makes.
For anyone waiting patiently for A Day in Happyland. We have heard from Anni Downs that all patterns and wool packs are being shipped this week so it won't be too much longer to wait to get our mitts on them! We will hopefully have some spare patterns so if you haven't already ordered a copy, add your name to the waitlist and you will be notified of any we have left.
As always, we wish you a very lovely week and are looking forward to helping you with all your sewing needs. Best wishes Sally & the girls

We think any of these patterns would make fabulous gifts for the men in your life and anyone who loves boats.

Tim's Things Quilt , this comes with stitchery patterns for the square centres but we think this would look fabulous just on blocks of colour- Charmed I am Sure using half square triangles - Here, There & Everywhere - this is a great quilt that you can personalise with maps and places important to whomever it is for.
Below we showcase books that also have either a nautical theme or ideas for more simple quilts that can be adapted for a less floral look.

The simple stripes and plaids of the Vista Wovens charm pack will appeal to many people. They remind me of my dads summer shirts.
Lakeside Gatherings Flannels make a simple snuggly quilt. Sally used a charm pack plus a border to make a lap quilt, but it could easily be made bigger using a layer cake or cut your own squares from long or fat 1/4s.
Morris Meadow is a rich traditional collection in blues and greens. Available by the metre and in precuts for a variety of projects.
Please note that these ranges are relatively new and not reduced.

Both of these gorgeous ranges are also in the 'Sail' with the 15 percent reduction. This makes the fat and long 1/4s £3.20 each equivalent to £12.80 per metre. Mandy used Songbook to make the quilt that was in an older issue of Homespun magazine.
