New inspiration
How are you doing? We hope that you have had time to be creative, especially with the nights drawing in. Ooh, that reminds me, the clocks go back on Saturday night/Sunday morning so an extra hour of sleep, or sewing, to look forward to on Sunday.
|
We have had three new dress making patterns arrive, two from Liesl & Co and one from Made by Rae. All are for a relaxed fit and would look amazing in our Sligo linens. To finish off an outfit we have five new bag patterns from a new designer for us, Noodlehead.
|
Another order came in from Corinne Lapierre including the gorgeous Christmas with the Mouse family It's not too late to make her 12 Days of Christmas ornaments and we have restock of her pattern book and felts to do so. All the 12 days are represented, we especially love the birds. We have also just heard that her advent calendars are arriving very soon and they can be preordered here.

We still have some places left on the upcoming Christmas Workshops. Sally and Mary have been busy planning lots of lovely festive makes for you to choose from. More details below.

The Car parks and Olive Grove Bistro will both be shut while drainage work is undertaken on site. We will still be open, and there will be some parking in the layby outside, but we would recommend that you leave your visit to another day, if at all possible, as we are not sure of how passable the paths around the shop will be. We, of course, will continue business as usual on the phone and online.

Look at these patterns that have arrived to make three simple comfy dresses, that can be made with varying length sleeves, and one of which can be adapted to a top as well. They would look stunning in Sligo linens or Japanese wovens.

We also have some copies of the Great British Sewing Bee book - The Modern Wardrobe, that has full size patterns included for 28 different projects including dresses, a jacket, shorts and trousers. New to us are these bag patterns from Noodlehead. Simply stunning in their design and practicality. From the large totes and rucksacks to a small messenger bag and a sling bag.

We also stock patterns, from a variety of designers including Gail Pan, Lynette Anderson, Love From Beth, Hatched & Patched and The Birdhouse, for bags of many shapes and sizes from little pouches to Christmas sacks. Bags for shopping, sewing paraphernalia, mug bags for cups on the go, purses and mobile phone bags.

Corinne Lapierre kits are delightful to make for yourself and absolutely perfect as gifts for stitchers of all abilities. The kits contain all you need except scissors. There are kits for all seasons including Christmas.

Over the last few years the 12 Days of Christmas Kits have been very popular, however, these have now been discontinued and replaced instead by the 12 Days of Christmas book of all the patterns plus a felt pack. We have made up a coordinating DMC thread pack to accompany them and we sell the toy filler for them. There are a few individual kits of some of the old 12 Days decorations stock but once they're gone they're gone!

This year, Corinne has been inspired by her beloved woodland creatures and what secret fun they might be up to in the days before Christmas. As ever, Corinne has chosen the richest shades of felt and designed charming patterns to bring this picture to life.

This project will fill any crafter with peace and delight during December and for years to come. They will be longing to know what the next day holds and to add to their picture.
