Cocoa Blue by Edyta Sitar

Another timeless collection from Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. Ditsy and floral prints in gorgeous shades of blues, creams and cocoa browns.

This range would look beautiful used in the projects in the book Make it Blue by Natalie or Meadowlark by Gail Pan. Or if you are a pet person what about Happy Family Table Runner by Lynette Anderson. The Daisy quilt in Jo Colwill's Cowslip Country Quilts book would look stunning in this range.

Welcome to our Shop

Welcome to our humble little tardis of deliciousness! From an unassuming outside, inside it is stuffed full with a wide range of beautiful quality fabrics, threads and patterns. We all make samples for the shop to offer even more inspiration to anyone who comes to visit. What a wonderful job we have to get to work somewhere where we are surrounded daily by such beautiful things.

Some of our favourite summery shelves ....

Beautiful Batiks

We have a large selection of batik fabrics online and even more in the shop. Batiks are made using a wax resist technique. The design is made using the wax and the fabric is dyed rather than printed so the design is on both sides of the fabric rather than printed onto one side only. The cloth is a more finely woven cotton and is beautiful for dressmaking as well as quilt making. You can watch a video here of the process of making batik.

Batiks are so variable that they come in bright and vibrant as well as softer muted shades. They would be ideal for the Crazy Pieced Heart by Michelle and several of the Love From Beth projects like Stone Roses, Cassini Quilt and Hexa Scrappy quilt.

Promenade by 3 Sisters and Grace by Brenda Riddle

Both of these ranges are gentle floral designs that remind us of summery dresses we wore as young children. Although from different designers they coordinate really well. Perfect for a summery outfit or quilt. These summery fabrics would look beautiful used in the quilts by Judy Newman in Quilts For Life and Quilts for Life 2

Create Joy Project fabrics

The ranges from the Create Joy Project by artist and designer Laura Muir, are full of vibrancy and fun and do indeed create joy. Flowers, butterflies, blender water colours and some embellished with copper and gold metallic prints.

Kaffe Fassett

World reknowned for his bold use of colour and pattern, Kaffe Fassett fabrics always lift the spirits. With the 10% discount this weekend it might be the perfect time to invest in a Kaffe fat 1/4 bundle or layer cake to make a simply stunning quilt. Kaffe has also written various books about his designs and projects. The problem is deciding on which project to start with.

Riviera by Liberty

Liberty are known world wide for their quality fabrics. We sell the Liberty Quilting cottons and love the Riviera range which is getting very low in stock. Sally used it to make her Sophie Bag . It would also look great used in the other June Tailor projects.

Tilda Gorgeousness

Don't forget we still have 25% off the Tilda Cotton Beach range until Sunday 27th midnight. This makes the range £12 metre/ £3 fat or long 1/4.
The rest of Tilda including the prints, solids and chambrays, has 10% off.
The wall hanging of the lady in the picture is one block from the Windy Days quilt that can be found as a free pattern on the Tilda's World website. The bag on the left is Linda's Hobo bag.
