Festive Bargains and Fresh Florals

Yes we know it is only July, but us makers do need to get thinking ahead to the colder months and festive makes. This week we take a peek at festive fabrics and patterns including the popular advent calendar panels that you can stuff full of all sorts of goodies not just chocolate treats. We also have an early bird offer for Christmas in July 10% off all Christmas fabric ranges for two weeks starting Midnight Saturday 15th July - Midnight Sunday 30th July. Enter code 10Xmas at the checkout or mention it at the till in the shop.

If you are not quite ready to face Christmas we also have stock of the new William Morris range, Morris Meadow. It is just gorgeous. Rich blues, greens and creams in Morris's well known and well loved designs & we're expecting the mini charms & charms later this week.

Good news this week is that we should get the key to the unit we will be using for our workshop space next month! We are super excited to be able to start offering groups and workshops once more from the Autumn. We will firm up details of exact dates and what will be going on and when, but it is great to finally get further forward with our plans. We will need to gut and refurnish the space but we are not only good with all things sewing but are demons at building flat pack units and wielding paintbrushes etc. Watch this space!

As always, enjoy your sewing and have a wonderful week.
Best wishes

Morris Meadow

Well who wouldn't fall in love with this latest range from the archives of William Morris designs. Both large bold prints and more delicate tone on tone small prints blend together to make a rich collection of florals archetypal of Morris designs.

Hollyberry Christmas by Lynette Anderson

Along with the new Christmas fabric range from Lynette Anderson are three new patterns.
His and Hers Tablerunner The design in the centre of this beautiful table runner was originally part of the Winter Playground BOM and shows perfectly how you can adapt individual blocks of a larger pattern to make smaller projects. Our Michelle has done this with a single block of Friends for Christmas. You can see it in the shop or on our blog.
Oh Christmas Tree Quilt We really like this modern and simple design and can see it being made in a lot of different fabric ranges not just Hollyberry Christmas
Dancing Reindeer Sack
A delightful mix of paper pieced 1/2 hexagons and embroidery to make the most adorable Christmas sack
Flying Santas, friendly snowmen, cheeky reindeer and ditsy festive prints in shades of reds, creams and cream and with 10% off Christmas fabrics for this week and next it's the perfect time to start a festive project.
Why not make Lynette's Let's Build a Snowman Table Runner, Hollyberry House Wall Hanging, Running Reindeer Table Topper, Frosty the Postman cushion or choose one of her other seasonal makes.

Advent Panels

We have an array of advent panels for you to make a beautiful calendar that can be recycled each year and filled with all sorts of goodies. Let us know what you like to put in your calendars or advent stockings. Some customers go the traditional sweet treat route but we have heard about notes offering days out, a walk at the beach or promises of cooking a meal etc. Some others have theirs filled with hobby related goodies, sewing paraphernalia, or bits for fishing or even money. Calendars are not just for the children to enjoy! All the advent panels come with instructions printed on them, & there's even more arriving next week!

We also have stocking panels for larger gifts and to use as advent garlands. The large stocking panel can be used to make either one single stocking that is double sided or two stockings with an alternative backing.

Holidays at Home by Deb Strain

We have all fallen in love with the new Christmas Collections but especially the chirpy little chickadees on the feature fabric of this range.

Winter Moon fabrics and Winter Folk range

Or if other wildlife is more to your taste then look at the Winter Moon fabrics with robins, or owls and hares. There are also the Folk Art style fabrics of the Winter Folk range.

Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique

The previous seasonal range from this designer, Christmas Morning, flew out and we think this one will too. Michelle used a honeybun in Christmas Morning to make her We Saw Three Ships quilt. The Christmas Eve range is very similar and will give the same overall look. A honey bun is similar to a jelly roll but made up of 42 x 1 1/2" strips by width of fabric. Sally used a honey bun to make her Honeybun Kisses cushion.
