This week after lots of sunshine we once more have rain, so to brighten everyone's spirits and inject some May Day colour into our lives, we are offering a 10% discount across our Tilda Fabric ranges , Tilda Books and Tilda kits. so now is the time to build your stash and get creative. You can purchase online or in the shop and the discount will automatically be applied up until end of Friday 5th May. The code is TildaSpecial if you are asked to enter it. Below you will see that we also have a new use for our panels and have been busy topping up our scrap bag selection.

Don't forget if you are local or coming on holiday, you can opt to collect from the shop to save on postage. We love seeing everyone, catching up with projects and helping to get new ones started. We are still waiting for a date to take over our new workshop space as we do miss the interaction with our regular groups and workshop ladies but things are picking up speed so hopefully not too long to wait now.

BANK HOLIDAY OPENING - May is filled with Bank Holidays this year so there are several days when we will not be open in the physical shop but of course the website is available at all hours. The shop will be closed on Monday 1st May, Saturday 6th May, Monday 8th May and Monday 29th May. With all these holidays there may be some delays in sending and receiving orders but we, as always, try to process orders as soon as we can.

This gorgeous quilt is on a similar theme to our popular Embroidery Flower Quilt, as it uses needlepoint as the inspiration. The quilt is also a wonderfully creative way of showcasing the beautiful Tilda solid fabrics. The design is made up of just squares in a single size, so there’s lots of easy cutting. The piecing is straightforward and will give you plenty of practice at seam matching. The sky teal background is also pieced as individual squares rather than strips, to continue the appearance of an embroidery.

Tilda books are excellent value for money, brimming full of beautiful ideas for quilts, bowls, toys, items for the home and characters.

We have plenty of kits made up by us using Tilda fabrics. Some kits use patterns from Tilda and others are patterns from other designers like The Birdhouse and House on the Hill.

Party Apron
|
Get dressed up for the King’s Coronation or a summer party or barbecue by making this fab apron from our Traditional Union Flag panels! Mandy thought outside the box and used a free online pattern from https://straight-grain.com/.../adjustable-aprons-tutorial/ plus our Traditional Union Flag panel, 60cm lining & 2.5m of our 30mm mid blue bunting tape. She used a strip of contrasting fabric for the yoke channels & adjusted the pattern to fit the panel with slightly narrower seams. Modelled beautifully by the lovely Sarah (I think she’s enjoying this!), what will the Coast and Country Crafts and Quilts girls think of next… Union Jack bikinis?

We have been busy topping up our scrap bags and adding other selections to our scrap bag family. There are Tilda solids and patterns, assorted bags, Lynette Anderson, Liberty, Aviary, woolfelt, Christmas, Janet Clare and our new Children's packs that include a 1/2 panel and complimentary fabrics.
