Plentiful Inspiration

This week in Cornwall the storms have passed and we have beautiful blue skies. Our new stock reflects the sunshine feel too.

We have had two large deliveries of sunny delights this week. One filled with gorgeous new patterns from Love From Beth, and a restock of her older patterns and kits. The other filled to the brim with stunning embroidery kits from our new designer, Hannah Burbury. The kits are exquisite. Wool felt hearts and linen in hoops printed with floral designs ready to embroider.

We have also received a delicious new embroidery book from Inspirations - A Fine Tradition 2 by Margaret Light. Filled with colourful traditional crewel work and detailed instructions for 12 projects.

This week we have been making up fabric packs for lots of our Block of the Month (BOM) patterns. More to be completed but we showcase some below along with more details of how BOMs work. If we haven't yet made a fabric pack for a BOM you're interested in, then pop your name on the waitlist or drop us an email or give us a call and we will get to it as soon as possible.

As always, take care, keep sewing and sharing what you make. We love to see your creations. Check the Blog and the Customer Gallery if you get a chance.

Happy Stitching and have a wonderful week.
Best wishes

Love From Beth

Don't panic! Coast and Country are not selling babies! These are just two new patterns that have come in from Beth Studley of Love From Beth. A Baby Carrier and a Baby Changing Mat. The Carrier makes a soft, lightweight baby carrier that is fully reversible and can be folded down to fit in your bag.
The mat pattern combines a changing mat together with storage for wipes and nappies. It quickly folds out when needed and neatly folds away so it can be stored or carried around when out.

Also new from Beth are -
Stone Roses Quilt -A great introduction to anyone wanting to learn paper foundation piecing as it contains detailed instructions with lots of diagrams that will not only explain how to make this quilt but how to master the technique.
Liza Bag - This is a great bucket style bag that is super versatile. The pattern contains four different sizes ranging from extra large to small and it also has the added feature of a drawstring closure.
Bubble Pods -
Great for your sewing room, kids room, caravan or boat, they are quick to make and straight forward enough for a beginner to tackle.
Each pod can be made from 2 fat quarters.

We have also restocked our other Love From Beth patterns, priced at just £7.95 each. Plus four embroidery kits at £19.95 each.

Introducing Hannah Burbury Embroidery Kits

We are blown away with these absolutely beautiful embroidery kits from Hannah Burbury and are thrilled to now stock them. Hannah is a textiles designer and embroidery artist. She is inspired by nature and flowers and specialises in screen printing and hand embroidery. All the kit names are inspired by family names.

We think the kits are the perfect holiday or on the go project. Each kit includes a project workbook with a step-by-step photo guide in hand embroidering the design, a hand embroidery stitch guide and a thread colour and stitch guide. They are suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers. The kits also contains an image hand screen printed onto woolfelt for the hearts or linen for the hoops, embroidery threads and a needle. All you need is a pair of scissors, plus toy filler for the hearts. The hoops are included in the hoop kits.

Block of the Months - BOMs

Block of the Months are patterns for larger projects that are more detailed as each block is different. Therefore the pattern has more design elements involved and can be more expensive than a simple single block pattern. By buying a pattern block per month it can make BOMs more affordable and also less daunting to work on. Rather than be faced with a complete set of patterns that can be overwhelming, we send one block each month until completed. These BOMs can also be bought in their entirety to save on postage and you can split them down yourself. We often use a file and dividers to separate BOMs we are working on to make them more manageable.

Here are some of our favourite patterns. More can be found HERE. Most have fabric packs or packs can be made. Unfortunately, with the exception of the Hatched and Patched wool applique BOMs, the fabric packs have to be bought in one go as we are unable to split the fabrics down into monthly kits, although we can arrange for part payments and send out the pack once we receive full payment. We are always at the end of emails or phone, or in person to help with any queries. Don't hesitate to contact us.
