Cosy Nights
The days may be getting shorter already, but this means it's the perfect excuse to make a snuggly quilt during the days ready for the cooler evenings, and then sit with some hand sewing while hunkered down with your new creation. We love hand quilting during the colder months as you can keep warm while stitching! Our newly arrived Autumn Gatherings Flannels would make the ideal snuggly quilt. A sumptuous collection of soft brushed cotton in rich autumn colours.

NEW this year are our Christmas Advent Boxes. Lovingly put together by Sally and Mary, they contain 25 gifts to open each day in December on the run up to Christmas Day, and one for the day itself. Even the rest of the staff don't know what's gone into the boxes so no bribing us to divulge the secrets inside!
|
Below we are showcasing a few more of our Christmas ranges and kits as December is not many weeks away. Not to panic anyone but Christmas is in only 64 days.
|
Our Winter Sale is still online and in store. Visit the sale page to see what we still have left. Included in the new bargains are Flannels, nautical fabrics, French General, Tilda and batiks.
|
This week we have had many inspiring chats with customers both online and in the shop. One thing we have noted though is just how self-critical we can all be of our work. In one email we were sent the following quote and we wanted to share it to remind us all to keep on doing what we do. All our work is beautiful and we must keep creating our art.

"Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best." - Henry Van Dyke

Happy Stitching and have a wonderful week. Best wishes Sally & the girls

Look at these absolutely beautiful flannels from Kansas Troubles Quilters. Soft to touch and super snuggly, who doesn't love cosying up under a flannel quilt? Sally has made two lush quilts using flannels, A Raggy Quilt and her Yuletide Star Flannel Quilt. We have a pattern available for the Star quilt and the Raggy Quilt pattern that was originally taught as a workshop.

A few weeks ago, a group of us got together after work to make these beautiful Christmas Stockings using a variety of our Christmas fabric ranges. We had fun choosing which fabrics to use and love how different they look in the various colour ways. Mary has kindly produced a pattern and template for you to be able to make them too. Now all you need to do is choose the festive fabrics you want to use.

The Winter Booklet by Janet Clare contains 3 projects. A reindeer quilt, a felt polar bear and a penguin mini wall hanging. The accompanying fabric pack contains all the fabric to make all three.

PLEASE BE AWARE- A number of customers are saying that their parcels are taking longer than usual to arrive. We process your orders within 24 hours of receiving them, but the ongoing postal strikes are causing disruption to deliveries. Unfortunately, there are many more strikes planned during October & November, which will have an impact on delivery times. We are looking at alternative delivery options to lessen the impact on our customers but all couriers are experiencing extreme overload as they also struggle to keep up with the extra workload. If you need something more urgently, please call us on 01872 870478 and we will see what the most speedy option is.
