Flora and Fauna Fun

Hello once more. We hope you are well, dry and cosy. We have had a mixed bag of days here in Cornwall. Sunshine, rain, wind, hailstones, thunder & lightning! Warm days with the promise of spring followed by storms that chill you to the bone. We have been kept busy in the shop with more sorting of our space to make things flow a little easier and get our shop, workshop, stock and office space tip top as soon as possible.

On top of all the sorting and rearranging we have had more boxes filling the shop this week. Beautiful Spring like Garden Party from Liberty in fresh green, pink and blue florals. Foxwood from Makower that includes a panel of woodland creatures in blues and creams. From Moda we have had the fun Noah's Ark, the latest range from Stacy Iest Hsu with two panels, one for an interactive soft book and the other to make a Noah's Ark soft toy complete with animal pairs.

We also have some new buttons from New Zealand. Jackie Nichols of House on the Hill has designed some beautiful Deer and Forest Tree buttons, that arrived with more of her Angel and Perfect Day Buttons.

A little reminder that here in the UK we have Mother's Day approaching on March 10th. There is still time to make something for the mother figure in your life, or if you are mum, maybe add to your wishlist anything you would like for yourself. We are expecting a delivery of Poppy Treffry's lovely sewing gifts this week, so add your name to the wait list on any of her products to receive an email as soon as they arrive.

Happy sewing and let us know how we can help you with all your sewing needs.
Best wishes

Liberty Garden Party

This beautiful range from Liberty is high quality 100% Lasenby Cotton for Patchwork & Quilting. Flowers, trees, peacocks all in typical timeless Liberty designs.
This selection of books and patterns are a perfect companion to the Liberty fabrics. Lots of paper piecing projects that would look glorious in the pretty florals of Garden Party. They'd be perfect to use with a Hexiform Kit too.

Foxwood by Makower

Soft blues and creams scattered with meadow flowers and curious animals. Bounding bunnies, soaring swallows, an inquisitive squirrel and a snuffling hedgehog amongst others. The accompanying panel can be used to make a simple project as it is but can equally be cut into squares, pieced with the fabrics or sashing and made into a larger project. Or use the images to make cushions, bags or place mats. We love to see how creative our customers are with these sort of panels. What are you inspired to make with yours?

Noah's Ark by Stacy Iest Hsu

We are all loving these cute panels and fabrics from Moda, designed by Stacy Iest Hsu. The panels are amazing, each has the full instructions included on them. There is a book panel to make a soft cloth book with interactive pages. Lots of first reading fun for little ones. The other is a Cut and Sew panel to make a Noah's Ark bag that can be filled with eight pairs of animals and Mr and Mrs Noah. A fun toy that can be carried around and taken out and about.
The fabrics are great to make a cheerful quilt or playmat for children. Lots of animals to seek and find and chat about.

House on the Hill

Freshly arrived from New Zealand are patterns and hand painted wooden buttons from Jackie Nichols of House on the Hill. Aren't these reindeer and trees just adorable? They would make very simple but glorious Christmas cards or what about making a wall hanging bordered with festive fabrics.

Below are more buttons and patterns and many more to discover. They would make lovely gifts for any mums for up coming Mother's Day
