Floral Embellished Pouches Workshop with Louise Nichols

There will be a choice of different flower designs from daffodils, snowdrops & sunflower design on this workshop & they’ll be printed in a selection of colours on a range of fabrics for you to embellish, either following the examples & using the templates available at the workshop. You can use a combination of threads, fabric, beads etc. to embellish
the design & then it can be made into a useful pouch which is the perfect size for glasses, a phone or, a handy pouch in which to keep little bits & bobs. There will be instructions to take away if you’re not able to complete the pouch on the day.
The cost of each lino print for the pouch will be £6.00 which Louise will sell on the day.
Embellished Pouches Workshop Requirements

Basic sewing kit
Sewing machine – to machine the pouch together once the embellishing has been completed & can be used to machine sew/embroider onto the design if you wish.
Felt & other fabrics to applique onto the print
Threads – a selection of thicknesses. Stranded threads are also good to use.
4oz Polyester Wadding approx. 38cm x 10cm
1cm Wooden bead
String/cord for the loop 13cm
Fabric for the lining & the bottom of the pouch – this will depend on the design & colour you choose.
Louise will have a selection with her on the day or you can bring your own.
The cost of the print for the pouch will be £6.00 & all the other materials will be available to buy from Louise on the day so please don’t worry if you can’t get hold of everything.
The class runs from 10 – 4 so you can arrive from 9.45am.
Please bring a mug with you for your hot drinks.
Lunch – you can either bring a packed lunch or we can order a takeaway or book a table for you at the Olive Grove when you arrive.
Parking – there is free parking on site. Please use the small car park behind our main shop if possible, otherwise the overflow car park accessed to the left through the main car park. Postcode is TR3 7PE

Booking a workshop
As our classes are popular and fill up quickly, we operate a ‘first come, first served’ policy with a small reserve list in case of cancellations. Bookings can be made by telephone or by calling into the shop. Full payment for classes and kits must be made at the time of booking, so if you book by phone, please have details of your credit or debit card ready. If you join one of our Block of the Month groups, we request that all classes are paid for whether you attend or not, as we still have the tutors & rent to pay. We also accept cheques by post. Cancelling a workshop
If you need to cancel a workshop, please contact us as soon as possible. It is possible that we may be able to fill your place from the reserve list. Course fees are only refundable if your place can be resold, & a £5 administration fee will be charged.
