Flowers in a Vase Workshop with Louise Nichols

Choosing from a selection of pre-printed lino print designs you will be
able to create your own vase of flowers. There will be a
choice of foliage/bases which will be your background & a
selection of vase/jugs & flowers – all printed in a variety
of colours. You could also make your own flowers/leaves from
other fabrics & prints to add onto the design if you wish.
The designs can be embellished completely by hand or if you
prefer, you could also add some machine embroidery.
Instructions for making the finished piece into a wall hanging or cushion will be given on the workshop. The background panel measures approx.30cm x 22cm & there will also be smaller options available on the workshop.
Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own.
The approx. cost for all the prints to complete one vase of flowers is £12.00. All costs will be itemised on the day.
The class runs from 10 – 4 so you can arrive from 9.45am.
Please bring a mug with you for your hot drinks.
Lunch – you can either bring a packed lunch or we can order a takeaway or book a table for you at the Olive Grove when you arrive.
Parking – there is free parking on site. Please use the small car park behind our main shop if possible, otherwise the overflow car park accessed to the left through the main car park.

Booking a workshop
As our classes are popular and fill up quickly, we operate a ‘first come, first served’ policy with a small reserve list in case of cancellations. Bookings can be made by telephone or by calling into the shop. Full payment for classes and kits must be made at the time of booking, so if you book by phone, please have details of your credit or debit card ready. If you join one of our Block of the Month groups, we request that all classes are paid for whether you attend or not, as we still have the tutors & rent to pay. We also accept cheques by post. Cancelling a workshop
If you need to cancel a workshop, please contact us as soon as possible. It is possible that we may be able to fill your place from the reserve list. Course fees are only refundable if your place can be resold, & a £5 administration fee will be charged.
