Raggy Quilt Pattern by Sally

This cosy Raggy Quilt is made from flannel fabric and has the seams cut and tumble dried to give it that raggy look.

Use one Layer Cake or cut your own squares to create this gorgeous quilt.

Quilt size can be finished at 40″ x 56″ or larger if you use the whole layer cake 48″ x 56″

Notes from Sally –

I used a layer cake to make mine (but not a whole one – 5 rows x 7 rows) & it’s finished size measures 1.5m x 1.05m (56” x 40”)  You could also cut your fabrics from assorted fabric by the metre or fat 1/4s.
If you use a whole layer cake it will measure (56” x 48” – 6 rows x 7 rows)

You will need as much fabric for the backing as you have for the front of the quilt – eg if you have a layer cake you will need 3 metres of backing.

You will also need:

A matching sewing machine thread

Sewing machine with a walking foot if you have one

Masking tape as your stitch guide

Sharp pair of small scissors with sharp tips for cutting fabric

If you have breathing difficulties, I suggest a mask for your mouth and nose because it gives off a lot of fluff when you’re snipping the seams.
