Greenwich quilt pattern by Janet Clare
‘Greenwich’ features many traditional patchwork techniques and showcases a beautiful mariner’s compass at its centre, surrounded by simple pieced borders and finished with a lovely border of flying geese – using Janet Clare’s Weather permitting Collection.
Creating the mariner’s compass is quite time consuming and requires patience and a methodical approach, but the pattern guides you carefully through the process. So don’t be afraid, and whilst patchwork and quilting experience will help, why not have a go!
The full colour pattern includes detailed instructions to guide you through foundation piecing the mariner’s compass, flying geese and creating the borders. Notes are also included on quilt construction, layering and binding.
