Lynette Anderson has designed a Mystery Button Club for the past ten years and ‘George & the Donkey’ is the one for 2022. It’s a seven-part monthly mystery block of the month with a hand painted button on Block 1 only.
Lynette has designed a delightful thatched cottage tucked behind a stone wall, an apple tree filled with juicy red ripe embroidered apples, a sweet black Labrador named George and a little grey donkey with a finished size of approx 36” x 36”. Remember, it’s a mystery so all we can see are the little snippets Lynette has provided.
Techniques that include, applique, embroidery, simple piecing, Suffolk puffs (yoyo’s), wool applique and EPP (English Paper Piecing).
This is a very scrappy quilt, Lynette has chosen to make her quilt using fabrics from a huge variety of her fabrics from collections dating back several years. We have two starter fabric packs available to get you going with this. One is the background fabrics and the second is the scrappy piecing and applique fabrics. We have made two separate packs to enable you to use your own stash to suit.
