Autumn Hibernation
There seems to have been a rather sudden change in the weather for us this week. The temperature as dropped and the winds have increased, leaves are tumbling and we feel a need to hunker down. Many of you will have seen the photo on social media of Michelle arriving at work completely soaked after dropping off all the delicious parcels winging their way to our wonderful customers. The heavens opened suddenly and drowned rat springs to mind!
Anyway we have plenty to warm us up and keep us busy as the nights draw in. Our first excitement is the linens and check fabrics have arrived for all those signed up for the new Anni Downs Block of the Month, A Day in Happyland. We are now fully subscribed for the moment but if you missed out this time, please add your name to the waitlist and we will be in touch again once we secure more stock.
Or next big news is that we have Tilda Hibernation arriving at the end of the month ready to ship on 1st October. It is available to pre-order and it is sure to be popular. Little snuggly dormice, sleepy squirrels and birds with florals and coordinating blenders.
Even bigger news is that we hope to have the keys for our new workshop space next month. Hooray! We have contacted all the ladies who used to come to our regular monthly groups but we may have space for more to join them or on other days. Please contact us if you are interested in coming along to a group each month to work on your own project. It is not a taught session but we are all on hand to help with any queries and sewing needs.
We will also be starting up our taught workshops. Our first offering, which will now be held in our old workshop space, due to the delays with the new space, is with Caroline Michelle Textile Artist. This is a free motion sewing workshop for beginners. More details below. We also have some dates pencilled in with Louise Nicholls this year and in the Spring. Watch this space and the workshop tab on the website for updates & additional classes!

The 2024 Quiltmania Diary has landed with us. As always it is beautiful pocket sized inspiration with 74 full colour photographs from popular Quiltmania books and magazines from this year.
We have had a few busy weeks of customers calling or dropping in and we always look forward to helping everyone with all their sewing needs. Keep sewing and keep well. Best wishes Sally & the girls

New Fabric Packs
We have had a little extra time this week to get on with making more fabric packs. We have a beautiful selection of reds, creams and greens to make up A Merry Christmas Garden by Gail Pan.
A smaller fabric pack is Eastmoreland, which is limited to just 6 packs in the colourway shown. We will make up more in alternatives as these sell but if this version calls to you then don't delay.
We have also made up Spoondrift by Janet Clare. This will probably be our last few kits in the To The Sea range as many of the fabrics are now no longer available.
