After our virtual travels last week with Janet Clare's Bon Voyage, this week we're taking you on a virtual tour of the East, with some gorgeous new Japanese Prints & Cotton Flax Fabrics that we've added to our collection.

More of The Birdhouse patterns have flown in from Australia including a few new ones, as well as re-stocking your favourites.

Talking of travel, Maggie Eastman from Trevithick Quilters in Cornwall is in the process of organising a trip leaving from Heathrow, to the European Quilt Festival in the Alsace, France for September 2023. If you're interested in joining her & would like to find out more click here.

The deliveries have been like buses this week with as many as 8 boxes of goodies arriving in just one day (a bit like Christmas all over again!). One of these deliveries was re-stocking the classic Liberty Wiltshire Shadow fabrics, along with Wool pressing mats, more Glue Pens & Refills, Alexander & Sophie Bag kits, & Best Press , all essential products for quilters!

New Alphabet panels have arrived, as well as a world map panel, perfect to make as cot quilts, playmats or as wall hangings.

Do you fancy a challenge during these dark winter months? How about joining the Moda Love Charm Challenge? See below for more info...

Last week the gorgeous Calico & Stitch book & All Seasons Pillow Pattern were so popular we sold out very quickly, but don't panic, we have more coming! Join the waitlist on any product and you'll receive an email as soon as it's back in stock.

New Japanese Fabrics

Just arrived are some gorgeous Japanese Cotton Flax fabrics featuring Flora & Fauna. These fabrics are 80% cotton and 20% flax and feel like linen making them perfect for bag, cushion & quilt projects.

We've also added to our Japanese Textured woven collection with oriental designs to delight, including Parasols, Big Flower prints, Paisley Florals & more.

Get some ideas from a selection of Japanese style books that are sure to fill you with inspiration!

We are always being asked for musical fabric, so when we were offered this amazing fabric below we just had to get some. It has a black check & piano key border with musical notes and icons on the rest of the fabric.

Brimming Over with Quilting Essentials

We've been re-stocking the classic Liberty Wiltshire Shadow fabrics. Made from Lasenby cotton, they are fantastic blenders and work well with many fabrics, not just with Liberty ranges.

Wool pressing mats are available in different sizes & just so handy to have next to you, so you can press fabrics as you sew, without having to constantly go to the ironing board. They don't take up much room if you want to take them to your sewing group or class.

Sewline Pencils & Glue Pens & Refills are essentials for any stitcher. The Sewline Pencils are propelling pencils & come with extra leads which are also sold separately & are available in different colours. This is handy when you need the right colour to show up on light or dark fabrics. They're easily erasable with a damp cloth or the eraser on the end of the pencil.

Sewline Glue Pens come with a re-fill with extra re-fills available to purchase. The glue goes on coloured and dries clear which allows you to see what you're glueing. These are the perfect tool for English Paper Piecing & applique.

Mary Ellen's Best Press is a clear starch and sizing alternative. A clear, crisp ironing spray available in three flavours: Linen, Lavender or Scent Free. They make ironing easier & makes those stubborn folds in the fabric vanish when you use this spray, without stiffening the fabric.

We think they'd look lovely in some of the new Japanese fabrics!
