Beautiful Lino Print Kits
We were delighted to see Louise Nichols this week when she made a delivery of her kits. Michelle was delighted to receive one of the Christmas Wreaths as her Secret Santa gift and is busy making it as we write. More details below of a selection of our new and old favourites from Louise.

One of our most popular and colourful designers, Kaffe Fasset, celebrated his 85th birthday this week. To celebrate with him and honour his bright and cheery contribution to the textile world, we have a 10% discount code on all Kaffe products. A quick note to say that we are open as usual until Friday 23rd December and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January. We will pop into the shop on a couple of days to pick and pack online orders placed between these dates, but the shop will not be open to allow us all to have a well-earned rest.

Louise Nichols is a local Textile Designer who uses lino-cut images that are printed onto fabric and then embellished with felt, threads and beads.
|
The kits come complete with felt, threads and full instructions included, but we also now stock some that are the printed panels only so that you can completely customise your creation using your own felts, fabrics and beads, but there are stitching ideas included for the less adventurous. There are panels only for Christmas Wreaths and Robins, and the kits range from bookmarks to hanging decorations and wall hangings, featuring birds, Christmas Trees, bees, dogs, cats, hens, hares and fish.

Each kit is presented in a beautiful brown cardboard box with a clear image of the finished item. Inside are comprehensive instructions, threads and felts.

The master of crazy colour and pattern combinations, Kaffe Fasset, has been involved in textiles for over 50 years, exploring knitting, needlepoint, mosaic, quilting, textile design, painting and drawing. To celebrate our 14th Birthday we're doing a Charity Tombola in aid of Centrepoint, which is the UK's leading youth homelessness charity. Together with their partners, they support more than 14,000 homeless young people each year, providing accommodation, mental health support and life skills to get vulnerable young people back into education, training and employment. Let's help them end youth homelessness in the UK.

With all the delays due to strikes we have been advised of the following cut off dates for Christmas post.

We have had a few people who have become frustrated and angry at delays with receiving parcels. Please respect that we do our very utmost to get parcels out within 24 hours of being ordered, however many goods are taking at least two weeks to arrive.
|
|
We do not offer a next day delivery service, but if you are in a desperate hurry to receive goods, we will investigate available services. We do look at alternative options for all orders, wherever feasible, including reliable courier services, although even couriers are experiencing delays due to the extra volume of parcels coming their way. Some parcels are arriving within a few days and others are much more delayed. There is no rhyme nor reason as to why there are such differences and is no fault of ours.
