Down Under Delights -

Hello once more. We are happy to be in your inbox again, especially when we have so many beautiful new arrivals to show you this week. Hopefully you are well and enjoying time sewing. We would love to see what you are making or finishing. It is always lovely to see your creations coming into our inbox. Part of the wonderful hobby of sewing is sharing inspirations and ideas. It is what keeps us all interested and creating. So please share away and with your permission we will add them to our Customers Gallery.

On Tuesday we were thrilled to host a sewing day and pop up shop locally. What a joy it was to see so many smiling friendly faces. Mary created a beautiful bee themed needle case pattern for the day and it will be soon available as a pattern and a kit. It was such a successful day that we will be hosting more gatherings soon so if you are local or visiting then come and join in the fun. We will keep you posted about dates and the pattern.

We had a delivery from one of our suppliers in Australia that came filled with both new, and old favourite, patterns and we have spent some time carefully creating fabric kits for some of them. Remember though that we are also happy to make fabric packs for other patterns whenever we can. Patterns arrived from Melly and Me, Ric Rac, Leanne's House, Molly and Mama, Cinderberry, Meags and Me and Lilabelle Lane.

Included in the delivery was the utterly gorgeous Tic Tac Toe child's jacket. This flew out when we first stocked it and we are thrilled to have received a bigger supply of them this time. Now all we need is to find an adult version for us! There are also plenty of other fun patterns to choose from and we highlight them all below.

Another issue of Homespun Magazine arrived this week so we are now up to date with the editions that are out in the UK. This one has lots of interesting ideas to make including a felt teddy bears picnic, knitted bootees, a vibrant thistle cushion and many more.

Thank you for your friendship and custom. It is our pleasure to provide a more personal service for our customers and we look forward to helping you choose the right products and fabrics for your projects.
With our Very Best wishes

Our happy sewing day
tic tac toe childrens quilted jacket pattern
This pattern is so gorgeous that we needed to make it centre stage this week. The original was made using Tilda fabrics from the Creating Memories ranges but it will look divine in any combination. Each jacket can be made using 13 -15 fat 1/8s plus lining and binding.

We know a lot of you were waiting for this pattern to come back in stock and we have made a fabric kit so you can easily get sewing this fun quilt by Meags and Me.
These delightful Zipped Pouches are a pretty make and handy to fill with sewing bits and pieces, or make them for a much appreciated gift. We have put together fabric kits for the pattern using pretty floral Chelsea Garden fabrics and a woven blue background. The centre of the Dresden Plate applique flowers can either be a feature fabric or an embroidered floral image. Available with a pink or grey zip.
Lots of playful patterns were in our delivery from a variety of Australian designers. Above we can see Pocket and Floss Rabbits, these have always been very popular. Gary and Glen are cheeky Seagulls and we have made a fabric pack so you can have your own pet seagull who is guaranteed not to pinch your pasty or ice-cream!

The pretty Butterfly Wings are a gorgeous dress up item for little ones, or the young at heart. Imagine the fun of zooming around a garden or park wearing your colourful wings. The freedom and the joy of playing. I need some wings in my life!

We also have the new Sadie Sewing Machine Mat pattern from Molly and Mama. Using paper piecing for the mat and the applique, this beginner friendly mat has lots of handy pockets and the mat helps to reduce machine movement and noise.
The Purrfect Cat Embroidery comes as a preprinted linen panel and pattern that can be traced for additional uses. Once finished it can be displayed inside an embroidery hoop ready to hang. Sew, Laugh, Love also comes with a preprinted panel and traceable pattern and is a modern take on a sampler. Lots of little images and applique snippets. Both are great projects to take on travels with a selection of your own threads.
We already have the next issue of Homespun Magazine and as always it doesn't disappoint. Jam packed with lots of delicious projects for hand and machine sewing, knitting and crochet and more. We especially love the felt Teddy Bears Picnic!
We have been forging new paths aplenty while settling into our new routines. We shared our new adventures on Thursday when the Coast and Country Awesome Ladies past and present got together for a wonderful catch up and evening of absolutely delicious food. We have plans afoot for more gatherings, classes and pop up shops. We will update you here, on our Workshop page and in our own emails.
Michelle has just qualified this week as a yoga teacher and will be holding classes from September. She is also hosting some sewing and felt making workshops this month. Click on the image to find our contact details to know more.
