G'Day, we're chockers with heaps of Oz!
No, we've not moved to Australia but Australia has moved to us! We have received a large box of patterns and wool packs from Hatched and Patched which have left our shelves filled with inspiration and delight. There are patterns for quilts, bags and wallhangings, Christmas and garden themed projects, items to make for the sewing room and for children. There are five new festive patterns and a gorgeous new sewing pouch. So much choice!

We are busy making up fabric packs for the patterns that are back in stock so, as always, if the one you want is currently out of stock, please add your name to the waitlist online and we will notify you once we have put them together. We get to them as soon as possible and some take longer than others to put together. A quick look at our website shows me that we now offer over 160 different fabric packs, plus scrap bags and DMC thread packs, for the patterns we stock, with more added regularly. It's a full time job to keep them topped up so please bear with us while we get around to making them.

Also from Australia is Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse Designs. We have a good selection of her Christmas patterns, some of which come with pre printed stitchery panels for getting started immediately. There are a couple of festive fabrics from 3 Sisters in now too. Favorites are Vintage inspired prints and basics that coordinate well with other ranges. We have the latest Tilda Lover's Club but are very limited on stock this time.

Next week Sally will be at the River Camel Quilt Show in Padstow. Then on 7th and 8th September there is an Arts and Craft Show in Ludgvan Church followed by Goosey Quilters Exhibition 19th -21st September in Tavistock. Full details of each below.

Anni Downs has designed these 5 new patterns to accompany her Tinsel Lane fabric range. We love the quirky Father Christmas character that adorns the fabrics and the patterns. He really is a jolly fellow. There is a tree skirt, simple Santa sacks, two quilts and a journal cover. We have more of the fabric arriving next week so will top up our fabric packs for these new patterns, the ones we made previously have flown out.

Above are a few samples of our other Christmas patterns including some by Kathy Schmitz and Natalie Bird of Birdhouse Designs. If you like hand stitching then these are perfect Christmas projects to sew on a beach in the sun of Zakynthos or lounging in your garden, on the sofa.

A very small collection but beautiful none the less. We can see so many uses for all of the fabrics from simple backgrounds for the tone on tone prints, and the vintage script being used for a journal cover or scrap book. Fussy cutting the images or using as a whole piece. It would make a gorgeous festive outfit, apron or gift bag.
