Tilda Temptations
Hello and welcome to another week of sewing loveliness. This week has seen us in both flipflops and wellies. Has anyone else had a mixed bag of weather? Whatever the weather, it is always a perfect excuse to sit down and get creative. Hunkered down at a sewing machine, snuggled in front of a fire or sat in a garden with some hand stitching. When you have the sewing bug any situation is a sewing opportunity.

This week we received 8 big boxes of fabric and buttons bursting with the glorious new range from Tilda. Creating Memories is based on four seasonal colourways - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. We are in love with the whole collection. 64 different fabrics in total that include wovens and printed designs. Full details below.

In order to make room for this extensive collection we still have a discount on our older Tilda ranges. Most ranges are now just £12 metre / £3 a long or fat 1/4. They are all limited availability and not repeatable, so once they're gone they are gone for good.

We are off to rest our cutting arms after so much slicing and folding. A little time off to dream up our own projects or try to decide which of the new free Tilda patterns we want to make up. There are pictures below featuring the new free patterns. So inspiring.

Tilda wanted to make a collection that stood alone and would also serve as basic blender fabrics for other collections. Creating Memories is a glorious selection of both printed small floral designs and beautiful woven cottons.
|
Tilda have free patterns to download on their own website TildasWorld.com and we are happy to make up kits for any of them. If you do not have the facility to print at home, we can even print the patterns, for a nominal cost, to go with any Tilda fabric pack we make for you.

The collection is split into four seasons, Spring with fresh pastels, Summer in Ocean blues, Autumn with rich russets and browns, and Winter in gorgeous faded pinky reds and soft greens.

Pretty and bright pastels are the name of the game for the Spring collection. Yellows, blues, pinks and greens create a fresh palette. Free patterns include flowers, bunnies and Easter Eggs to create quilts and cushions.

|
|
|
|
Nautical blues in florals, spots, stripes and gingham checks make the Summer collection fresh and cheerful. The free patterns include Starfish, yachts and whales.

|
At the shop we are partial to the rich hues of Autumn - deep yellows, ochres and russets. Perfect for making pumpkins, squirrels and falling leaves in quilts. Delicious.

Have we saved the best till last? Who can not help falling in love with these delightful pinks, reds and greens. They remind us of some of the older Tilda ranges. A gentle palette that can be used any time of the year not just for the winter.

In order to get our shelves prepared for the beautiful new range we are selling our older Tilda fabrics at a bargain £12 metre/ £3 a fat or long 1/4. The collections included are Windy Days, Aella, Garden Life, Cotton Beach, Hometown, Chic Escape, Pie in the Sky and Tiny Farm. It is great opportunity to stock up on this beautiful fabric. Always such wonderful quality and gorgeous to work with.
