How are you doing?

We are just reaching out to see how you are after, what we know, was a shocking newsletter on Saturday. We are all still trying to process the news ourselves and there are waves of disbelief and also grief. The emails and comments that we have received from customers have been very touching. We are devastated that we are closing but everyone is so understanding of Sally needing to have a happy and relaxed retirement.

The business is still for sale in the mean time if you know anyone that may be interested. For a small independent business we ship worldwide and have a huge following so the potential is vast.
|
With the news of our closure we have been inundated with orders and in person customers, so please bear with us as we may take a little longer to pick and pack orders, or serve at the till. Monday saw us handling over 140 online orders as well as lots of lovely ladies through the door. We are working flat out, often not getting a proper break, so that we can help everyone so if you are waiting a little while give a thought to us, we really are doing the best that we can.

I will be writing the shop newsletters up until we close, and just after, but if you would like to stay in contact after that, I will be setting up my own newsletter account with many things sewing related and otherwise, with in person and online offerings as well. Maria, who's been organising our workshops, will also be continuing to put on workshops & sewing groups at venues in Cornwall (venues to be confirmed). You'll be able to catch up with some of the Coast & Country girls there, who are all keen to keep meeting up to see each other, as well as our lovely local sewing ladies, to sew for pleasure. I am writing to let you know some sad news. I have taken the very difficult decision to close the shop by the end of May to retire.
|
I have been advertising the business for sale for several months but the little interest that we have had is for an online business only. If you know anyone, or a group of people, who may be interested in buying the business, please let me know!

Running the shop for the past 23 years has been the best time of my life, working with the most amazing team of friends & meeting wonderful customers like all of you. I couldn’t have done it without the support of the girls & yourselves.
|
For those local ladies, we are hoping to set up a sewing group each month at a venue to be confirmed, so will keep in touch with you.

We know this news will come as a big shock to you so we send you a virtual hug and rest assured we will continue to do all we can to help you while we are still in business. We are adding more sale items online and in the shop to help us to clear stock so please remember to keep checking in here. We will soon be adding more shop samples so if something has caught your eye when you have been in, or spied it online, let us know as it might be up for grabs at some point. No promises!

The 15% discount continues throughout the store and online. It is valid on all non sale items.

We have a large selection of solids and textured solids in the shop. All have 15% off at the till or checkout. Please remember that the discount voucher only applies to full price items online and will only appear if you have non sale items as part of your order. If you order just sale items the code will not be visible. Above are a mix of Thatched, Linen Textures from Makower, Brighton Basics and Peppered Cottons. Most were £16 per metre so with the 15% off will be £13.60 per metre or £3.40 per long/fat 1/4.
