Clearing for the equinox
Hello beautiful customers. This week has seen us embracing the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. The time when the daylight and the dark are of equal length. The evenings are definitely starting later now. It is now after 6pm as I write and I can still see blue skies. There is lots of hope in the air. Hope for warmer days, more time outside, fresh shoots and flowers blooming and the promise of flip flops not wellies!

This time of year is the time for clearing clutter and making space for the new. We have been busy sprucing up the shop and the website. This includes decluttering the shelves and the web pages and categories, to make it easier for us and you to navigate. We have discovered hidden bargains that are now more clearly visible for you and hopefully the shop and the website are more streamlined for you.

This week we take a closer look at our discounted items to bring you all the savings in one place. Patterns, kits, fabrics, gifts and made or part made samples. With Sally's house move imminent she has been bringing in samples she has started for workshops that allow you to finish them. They include really rare Janet Clare Hearty Good Wishes fabrics and the Moda Cake Mix foundation papers for accurate piecing. The gifts include pattern weights and the last Everlasting Postcards. These and the patterns and kits make ideal gifts for Mother's Day next weekend.

The Bulk Buy and Sale category of our site was unwieldy to use, with over four hundred products across twenty pages, it made it difficult to look for anything. This has now been decluttered and there are now sub sections within this category, making it easier to find what you want over just a few pages. If you have little ones in your life look at the Children's Bargains. Love Lynette Anderson, feel joyful with Janet Clare or tempted by Tilda, then there are dedicated Sale areas for them. Not sure what you are looking for? Have a look in the Sale Fabrics, Patterns or Fat 1/4 sections for inspiration. Amazing what some housework can do!

We have Sale Fabrics from a variety of designers. Some sale fabrics are just £8 per metre but all are sold in 25cm increments so you can order however much you need in a continuous piece. Click on the blue button to see all the discounted fabrics.

Our cotton twill tape can be bought by the metre but also as a 25m reel at a saving. Great for making lots of aprons or strings of bunting for weddings or parties.

Sale Patterns include a large selection from Bunnyhill Designs. We will not be able to restock these as they are no longer shipping direct to the UK unfortunately. There are also patterns from Birdhouse Designs, Love From Beth and House On The Hill.

There are plenty of bargains to be found in the Sale Fat 1/4s. Some fat 1/4s are now a bargain £2 each but are getting low on the ground.

We have a large selection of Christmas Fat 1/4s, patterns and fabrics and it is never to early to start planning ahead for the festivities rather than leave it to the last minute.

A Family Gathering by Hatched and Patched is a delightful kit including the pattern and fabric pack, & has been reduced from £164.75 to £118.75! It contains lots of delicious fabrics to make the top, borders and binding of the quilt. Of course we have many more fabric packs and kits on sale too, including bunting panels and the Tilda Lazy Gardeners Quilt.

We found two additional fabric packs and patterns for this gorgeous Tradewinds Quilt. They had got hidden under other stock so we have rescued them from anonymity and are on sale at a bargain of £200 reduced from £269. Each kit contains the pattern 37 fat 1/4s plus approximately 6m of other fabrics for the background, border and binding. We suspect that there may be enough fabric to make a pieced backing if so desired.

The End of Roll area of the website is now under the Bulk Buy and Sale category and is easier to look through. We also have some end of roll bargains in the shop. Many of the end of rolls are reduced to £8 per metre and some are big enough for backing quilts. Tilda, Kaffe Fasset, Hatched and Patched, Lynette Anderson, Christmas and Children's bargains can all be discovered here. More are added regularly so it is always good to revisit.

We find it hard to keep up with the demand for our scrap bags. They are such a great way to collect a variety of fabrics without having to buy whole fat 1/4s. We have just added the Blume and Grow Scrap Bags as in the photo above. These are extremely limited as we have used the last our our fabrics for these.

We had amazing news this week. One of our lucky customers was the winner of an Aurifil Golden Spool in her Aurifil Advent Calendar.
