Time for a break -

Grab a cuppa and settle down for a few minutes while we walk through our week, new products and old favourites. We pride ourselves on hearing that many of you wait each week, cuppa in hand, to read our newsletter. It is a lovely way to ensure that you have some down time each week, set aside just for you. So many of us rush around day to day and don't give ourselves enough time to just be. We need to remember we are human beings not human doings! Of course we hope that you have much more time for yourself throughout the week. It is in the quiet and stillness that the miracles happen.

While you are supping your cuppa we showcase our patterns and some fabrics that celebrate this beautiful beverage. Whatever your preferred tea is, Assam, Darjeeling, chamomile, peppermint, rooibos, Tetley, we have patterns to make table runners, wall hangings and bags to carry your cup to class.

The deliveries this week have included two fabric collections, Petite Beehive and Scrap Basket Favourites. These are only part collections but we think we have the best of the bunch. Also, after over a month of delays at customs, we received our delivery of long awaited Hatched and Patched Patterns, and wool packs for A Day in Happyland and The Santa, The Tree, The Turkey and Me.

Sally has been seriously de-stashing at home and has added more items to the Gift section of the website. They include finished and part made demonstration projects. There are some fabulous bargains using fabrics that are no longer available from the likes of French General and Janet Clare. These are mainly one off opportunities so once they are gone they really are gone.

Caroline Michelle is back with us on both Friday and Saturday next week. Her beginners class on Saturday is now full but there are a few spaces on the Thread Sketching on Friday. This looks so interesting. Using free motion embroidery on the machine to create gorgeous images filled with detail. This class is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to the more experienced.

We would love to see any of you who can pop in to see us, but also happy to help on the end of the phone or by email. Happy sewing and stitching.
Best wishes
Sally, Michelle & the girls
Time for a tea party with this very pretty fabric from Makower featuring ditsy flowers as well as cakes, cuppas and teapots. This would look great used for any of our tea themed patterns from Hatched and Patched or for the Tea Garden Quilts from House on the Hill.
Tea Garden Quilts
Tea time favourites from Anni Downs above. Cup on the Go, Tea Time Table Runner, Tea Anyone? Mug Bag, For the Love of Tea Wallhanging and Tea Cup Bag.

We also sell this set of 3 beautiful hand-painted tiny sign buttons from House on the Hill. Made of Wood, they would finish off a project perfectly.
The Santa, The Tree, The Turkey and Me is back in stock along with all the woolpacks and threads. We can't believe this is our 5th year of selling this gorgeous pattern.
A Day in Happyland has just finished as a Block of the Month and we now have the whole pattern and complete wool pack sets that can be bought complete or monthly as a subscription.
Above Home for Summer cushion, Beloved Angel Wall hanging, Bippity and Bruce bunnies, and A Mother's Love wall hanging.
We have just three fabrics from the Scrap Basket Favourites by Kim Diehl but they coordinate nicely with our other Autumn fabrics. Rich country colours.
Petite Beehive by Renee Nanneman compliments her previous range Renee's Bees so we have them all in one category to make it easier to coordinate the ranges.
Look at the incredible detail that can be created using free motion embroidery in a sketch like way. The monochrome flower and the colourful birds are all made using the same technique and Caroline will make sure you leave the class confident in your abilities to recreate these and more. The possibilities are endless. This class is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced sewers. Classes make great gifts, especially with Mothers Day approaching.

Her other classes are Beginners Free motion Applique on March 22nd, which is now full and Textile Hearts on April 30th which still has spaces. The hearts workshop is perfect for those who have some experience of freemotion embroidery or who have completed the beginners freemotion workshop previously. You will be taught all the skills needed to make the most out of this fantastic technique and leave the workshop with the knowledge and ability to continue with your own designs in the future,
With Sally moving house she is clearing her sewing room and has lots of shop samples and part made workshop demonstration pieces ready for someone to finish. There are layer cakes and charm packs teamed with Cake Mix and Cupcake Mix papers ready to make perfectly pieced blocks. There is a partly made Anderson's Farm quilt top, Janet Clare Hearty Good Wishes bundles, plus brand new pincushion pattern and fabric packs and lavender bags.

Also in the Gift section we have Poppy Treffry items including mugs, a tea cosy and purses. There are also the last Pattern Weights and Everlasting Postcards on sale at discounted prices. If bought now these will be in perfect time to arrive for Mother's Day at the end of the month.
