A warm welcome to another year of sewing
Hello. How are things going for you? Are you starting to settle back into the normal rhythm of life again? Even if Christmas was not filled with busy ness it can often be an unsettling time with routines pushed aside coupled with the pressures to make resolutions. New Year, New You and all that malarkey. We think you are pretty darn perfect just as you are and all you need to do is to keep being awesome. Carry on creating and bringing colour and design to the world.
|
By engaging in art through sewing you are doing a wonderful job at making our planet an even more beautiful place to be. As we enter into the colder parts of the year we don't need to be pushing harder but slowing down and sewing gives us the perfect chance to do just this. Think of nature, this time of year when things rest and hibernate, ready to burst open afresh in the Spring. The Danish embrace the concept of Hygge (Hoo-gah) all year, but especially over the winter months. This is the time for snuggling under blankets and quilts, drinking warming drinks and spending time quietly reading, sewing or eating with friends and family. It is about appreciating the simple things in life, recharging, regrouping, reconnecting with each other or being in solitude. Your way.

This newsletter we are being reflective. By looking at some of the best sellers of last year we discovered those that are inexplicably slower to sell. There are some real hidden gems that have passed people by and deserve to be seen. Our Scrap Bags continue to be huge bestsellers, along with Stitcheries, kits and Fabric Packs. Our shelves are laden with the vast array of fabric packs that we make up for you. Left on the shelf, literally, are some beautiful fabrics like Grace, Promenade, Field of Flowers, Thatched, Peppered Cottons and Silhouettes as well as some Christmas ranges like A Pearfect Christmas.
|
To start your sewing year off with an extra sprinkle of loveliness, we are offering 10% off across the website and in the shop, on everything except Sale Products and Gift Vouchers. Click on the Code Hygge25 at the checkout or remind us at the till in the shop. This is valid from Friday 3rd January until midnight on Friday 10th January 2025.

May your year ahead be filled with all things beautiful. We look forward to helping you with everything sewing related both online and in person.

With the 10% off, now is a good time to invest in a larger fabric pack or stock up on smaller ones to keep you busy as you hygge your way through winter.

One of highlights last year was the return visit of Gail Pan. She was so lovely to spend time with and she really felt like one of the team. We love her patterns so much and have a large variety of fabric packs made to accompany them. We take great care to ensure that all the fabrics coordinate well and are as similar to the originals as possible. These are some of our favourites, Pretty Birds in the Garden, One Little Flower, Flowerdale and Berries and Bluebirds.

We all fight to make the fabric packs for Tilda patterns as we love the fabrics so much. We have both little and large packs to make pincushions, bunnies, cushions and quilts.
