Festive Greetings to each & everyone of you
Well who can believe that Christmas is suddenly upon us? This year has flown by and suddenly we find ourselves surrounded by wrapping paper, sellotape, mince pies and sausage rolls. We are looking forward to having some time with loved ones and to have some extra time to sit and sew. So many projects to finish, but also so many to start. Last night I realised that it is a whole year since I received one of the Louise Nichols wreath kits as I sat embellishing it to attempt to get it done for this year!

As we start to slow down for our break we want to send each of you a big festive hug and heartfelt thanks for all your support in the shop and online. Small businesses have been hit hard by the last few years, so all your custom and kind words really do make us do happy dances. We have forged great friendships with our local ladies and those from further afield and we hope that you feel the power of the community in return.

Despite it being nearly Christmas, we have still had some deliveries this week. Finally, after months of delays, a second box of buttons from The Bee Company. Lots of festive buttons and kits are included so time to get them for next year! We will do our best to get them to you in time for this Christmas of course as we are upgrading all orders who have paid standard post to Tracked 24 or 48 at no extra cost to yourselves.
|
Also in a delivery was a new fabric range from Katherine Watson. A beautiful collection that coordinates well with her previous range Flower Press.

Thank you to those who have signed up for the Liberty 150 fabric packs. We are reaching out to all who have contacted us. We were hoping to secure more packs but Liberty themselves have been flabbergasted by the interest. We are doing our best to accommodate everyone who has asked for a pack so please bear with us. There is an update from Liberty and The Patchwork Collective on our blog HERE

It is always a pleasure to receive a box of these gorgeous hand painted wooden buttons. They have been delayed several times but we have them now with more to come next year. Due to the nature of them being made by hand the process is a little slower but so worth the wait.

The inspiration for this collection was a big bouquet of garden flowers, collected in the early fall when everything is at it’s peak. Katherine used dahlias, zinnias, fennel, feverfew, and more collected from her own garden as the source material for an original linocut print. These patterns were based off the original linocuts and capture the abundance of a garden at the end of the growing season.

Field of Flowers compliments the previous range from Katherine Watson, Flower Press. A similar colour palette and floral theme.
