Sending love back from our Sanctuary
Hello, and many thanks for all the lovely comments that we received this week after the newsletter. We are pleased that you liked the personal introductions and are now able to put faces to names you see on notes and invoices, or from conversations on the phone. We hope it gave you a feel for the close community we have here, and that continues to grow, locally and globally, with our love of people and creativity with fabric and threads.

After a quick glimpse last week, this week we take a closer look at the new Tilda fabrics. We have made fabric packs for two cushions using the new Tilda Sanctuary fabric. Below we showcase them and the rest of the range. In order to make room in the shop for this beautiful range we have discounted more of the older Tilda ranges and have several end of rolls in the shop at bargain prices. We will add them online if we have any left next week but if you are local or passing by, then do pop in and grab these last chance fabrics.

Other new additions to our stock are coming thick and fast.

Sally has designed a stunning Christmas quilt to showcase the gorgeous Magical Winterland fabrics. Available as a complete fabric pack with the pattern. This range has been super popular and this quilt really shows it off well. We also have a new book from Tilly Rose full of inspiration to create stunning textile works based on nature. It includes using natural dyes, weaving, embroidery and cyanotype.

Deb Strain has designed Willow's Farm as a follow on from the popular Effie's Wood. This range has a cute farm theme and a matching panel. A lovely way to make a quick and simple quilt or play mat for a child. All the way from Australia, Lynette Anderson has sent us a delivery of patterns to keep you all busy. Lots of Christmas patterns, Block of the Months, cushions, bags, wall hangings and table runners.

We had a great day on Thursday with the slow stitching workshop with Becky from Willow and Hare. She was so inspiring and her work was divine. We very much hope that we can have her visit us again next year as all the ladies loved her class.
|
Sending you lots of sewing inspiration and we look forward to connecting with you online, in person or on the phone. Have a great week.

We have put together fabric packs for both of these Make Do and Mend cushions. The Sewing Machine on Blue and the Sewing Notions on Burgundy. We think they are delightful. The fabric packs mean that you have everything at hand to make the cushions without having to buy larger quantities of fabric. Of course if you feel the urge to have some extra for your stash we won't stop you!

The patterns for these cushions, and other projects, are available to download for free on Tilda's World Website. We simply print them for you to save you the hassle if you don't have access to a printer. Below are some of the other projects on the Tilda website. If you would like us to make a fabric pack for any of them, please let us know and we will put one together for you.

With the success of her range, Effie's Woods, Deb Strain has used a similar style and palette for Willow's Farm. Cows, horses, donkeys, ducklings, tractors and trucks with coordinating blenders in a gentle colourway. There is also a beautiful panel of eight images of farm animals just waiting to be made into a quilt, or it could be cut to make smaller items like bags, wall hangings, cushions or placemats. The panel looks great as is, or why not pair it with a charm pack to make a larger project. For a limited time we have a special introductory offer on a fat 1/4 bundle complete with a panel.

We finally had a delivery of patterns from Lynette Anderson in Australia. Lots of festive patterns as well as her typical cute and detailed stitcheries and designs. There are Block of the Month patterns available to buy as a complete set or on monthly subscription to spread the cost, plus smaller projects to keep you busy. We have started to make up kits for some of the patterns and will add more as soon as possible.
