Coast & Country Crafts and Quilts Newsletter
Beautiful Butterflies
Although most of our gardens are gasping for a drop of rain (forecast for today for many of us) we have enjoyed the most wonderful summer, with beautiful butterflies & insects enjoying an abundance of summer flowers and this weeks newsletter is dedicated to them, so you can make a project and enjoy the butterflies all year round.
From beautiful books, to kits, bags, quilts & buttons, there are lots of projects to choose from.
We're glad so many of you enjoyed the photos of Kernow Quilter's Exhibition last week & thank you for the lovely comments which we have passed on to the group. Their fabulous efforts raised an amazing £1200 for the Cornish Food Bank Charity.
Our Mini Charm Challenge is still ongoing until the 9th September, so if you would like to enter with a chance to win a £25 gift voucher, please email us a photo and the details requested in our Mini Charm Challenge. Good Luck!
Thank you to Anne who has shared a photo of the beautiful Noah's Ark quilt she made for her grandson which you can see here.

You can use these embroidery kits as stand-alone samplers, but they also work really well as a panel on a cushion cover & our Mandy has made the Butterflies Embroidery Kit up as a sample in the shop.
The pack includes a linen/cotton mix fabric panel with a printed design, showing clearly where to sew the decorative stitches. There is also a guide to show the embroidery stitches required. The kit comes complete with embroidery threads in nine colours to finish the project, there's also instructions to finish it as a cushion cover.
These are great kits to take on holiday as they include everything you need and won't take up much room in your suitcase!

In this gorgeous book, Jane E. Hall combines her love of butterflies with her outstanding talent as a textile artist to produce three-dimensional renditions of exquisitely worked butterflies that are almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Using the finest of silk threads and needles, Jane lovingly creates her butterflies using the tiniest of stitches worked on to silk.
