A Magical Housetop Pear-fect time!

Good morning. We are all hoping that you have had a good week and are enjoying lots of sewing time. In the shop we have been busy cutting lots of delicious fabrics. Sarah has walked widdershins and worked miracles finding homes for it all and the shop looks amazing. Sally has been busy as a trader, attending the Goosey Quilters Exhibition in Tavistock. As always there is lots of wonderful inspiration to be seen there. If you are close by there is still time to pop along today before 4pm. Sally will be there to see you.

Just as the sun has started to shine brightly for us here in Cornwall we have received boxes filled with more Christmas fabrics. It has been quite a feat to write about all things festive while sipping iced coffee and sporting flip flops and a floaty dress! Well worth it though as these new ranges all from Riley Blake are outstanding. All very different but so very appealing. We have the dreamy Magical Winterland, bright and cheery A Pear-fect Christmas and the quirky fun Up on the Housetop.

Tilda has a new range due in next month. There is a main collection, Sanctuary, along with Mira blender fabrics. We have the fat 1/4 and fat 1/8 bundles available to pre-order. Individual fat 1/4s, buttons and precuts will also be available soon.

Jessie Chorley is a London-based textile artist and author. She uses Hand embroidery as a form of drawing and she has now produced a beautiful book, Journal with Thread. We are thrilled to stock this inspirational publication that includes iron on transfers.

Have a most fabulous week ahead, filled with all things creative.
We look forward to helping you with your sewing projects, and having a chat too!
Best wishes

We are officially in love. This new Magical Winterland range from Lisa Audit for Riley Blake is utterly spellbinding. Muted greens, blues and pops of red in the most gorgeous designs. Those feature fabrics are divine with their soft painterly images. I just want to go and play in amongst those trees!
Another absolutely stunning range from Riley Blake, this time by Cayla Naylor. Based on the 12 Days of Christmas Song, this collection of fabric is strewn with all the images you would expect, Partridges and Pears, Lords a Leaping, Swans a Swimming. We have fourteen fabrics available by the metre, part metre or fat quarter, plus a fresh panel that will make a stunning quilt or cut down to make individual cushions, placemats, bags, table runner or to adorn a festive apron!
Yet more gorgeousness! Up on the Housetop is a small collection by Teresa Kogut, but wow, is it wonderful. Traditional colours and a naive folk style appeal to all ages. Various Father Christmases are busy delivering gifts as they race over the roof tops with their reindeer. We have five fabrics including a striped border style and a feature fabric, plus a large 90cm panel that will make a quick festive wallhanging or quilt. Back the panel with our polar fleece and within an hour you can be snuggled under Santa!
The latest Tilda range is due to be released in early October. We have fat 1/4 and fat 1/8 bundles of the main range, and the blenders, available as a pre order product. These will be shipped once we have the fabric and have cut them all for you. If you order other items at the same time then these will be shipped now with the Tilda pre orders shipped as soon as they are ready.
Discover the art of slow stitch fabric journaling with this practical guide to creating a fabric journal from textile artist, Jessie Chorley. Learn how to stitch your own stories in fabric and thread to create a handstitched journal.
