Exciting new classes are listed below, taking us through to Autumn. These include a charity workshop to make a Caring Heart Pin Cushion in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), chicks & bunnies in the Spring, four Little Harbour workshops in aid of the Little Harbour Childrens Hospice, & Get to Know your Sewing Machine, Stitcheries & so many more! Three Block of the Month programmes will be running, including Lynette Anderson’s In Full Bloom which is a beautiful mix of stitchery & patchwork.
Lynette Anderson's latest new range of fabric Secret Garden has just arrived, & we will be offering fabricpacks to go with the In Full Bloom Block of the Month. The Durham Quilt Collection which is a beautiful floral romantic collection by Lecien has just arrived too!
Our Accuquilt machine can be hired by the hour on selected days, & we continue to offer Sewing Machine Services through Murray Best.

Booking a workshop
As our classes are popular and fill up quickly, we operate a 'first come, first served' policy with a small reserve list in case of cancellations. Bookings can be made by telephone or by calling into the shop. Full payment for classes and kits must be made at the time of booking so if you book by phone, please have details of your credit or debit card ready. We also accept cheques by post. Our phone number is 01872-870478, & our opening hours are Monday to Friday 10am - 2.30pm & Saturday 10am - 4pm.
Cancelling a workshop
If you need to cancel a workshop, please contact us as soon as possible. It is possible that we may be able to fill your place from the reserve list. Course fees are only refundable if your place can be resold.

GARDEN QUILT - SPRING with Gillian Farrell Fee £180 (6 sessions - 14 March, 18th April, 16th May, 13th June, 11th July)
The first of a 6 part course to create a delightful Country style wall hanging approx 36 x 24 inches, suitable for all levels of ability. The course covers a variety of techniques including simple patchwork and applique, using bondaweb, choosing colour schemes and easy embroidery. Four panels represent the 4 seasons and reflect what might be happening in your garden with appropriate use of colour and embellishment. (great for using lots of themed buttons and other delights!) The SPRING workshop supplies you with a full size pattern featuring a bird house, birds, seeds and flowers and an optimistic sun(!), with plenty of room for your own ideas as well. A fun, creative project using hand sewing. Sample in store soon.

LARGE BIRDS AND ANIMALS - NEEDLE SCULPTURE with Sarah Perry Fee: £50
Following the beautiful embroidered birds that were created on my last course at Coast and Country I will be doing another two day class creating Needle Sculpture animals or larger detailed birds, this will include detailed feathering and long or short haired animals. If you want to create a raised, detailed picture of a treasured cat or dog just take some photos and bring them along. This is hand embroidery and very relaxing. Learn how to make a draw string bag with a ‘Twist’, using the piece of fabric in your stash that is too glitzy for most other projects.

BEGINNERS PATCHWORK COURSE (includes rotary cutting and machine piecing ) with Liz Lynch Fee: £150
